Bluetooth is one of the most widely used wireless communication technologies today.
The latest generation, Bluetooth 5, offers faster data rates and a wider range. You can now transfer data from 1MBps to 2MBps.
This is 800% more than the previous Bluetooth 4.2. The range is four times wider than Bluetooth 4.2. Bluetooth 4.0 supports up to 200 feet (60 meters), while Bluetooth 5 offers up to 800 feet (240 meters).
According to Mark Powell, director of the Bluetooth SIG, the high-performance of the Bluetooth 5 can extend the range of data transmissions, and deliver data even at home, even if it is wall-mounted between two transmitters.
Bluetooth 5 makes it easy to connect to smart home devices called IoT (Internet of Things), an added feature in Bluetooth 4.2. Later Bluetooth 5 technology will include location-based navigation and navigation, so you can send data via location-based Bluetooth without the need for proxy apps.
